Relationships, Intimacy and Holiness: How Catholicism is meeting the Challenge of a Hyper-sexualised Culture
Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers, affectionately known around the world as the “Dynamic Deacon”, is heading to Rouse Hill to deliver a speech for Faith at the Fiddler.
The topic for the evening is ‘Relationships, Intimacy and Holiness: How Catholicism is meeting the Challenge of a Hyper-sexualised Culture’. Deacon Harold will explore how today’s culture portrays human sexuality in an overtly materialistic and often debased manner.
All are warmly invited to the event which takes place on Thursday 20 August at The Mean Fiddler, Rouse Hill from 5pm-7pm.
Faith at the Fiddler attracts young people from all walks of life, for a bit of food for thought on theology, in the friendly and warm atmosphere of Sydney’s most famous pub.
Deacon Harold is one of the most sought-after speakers in the Church with his passionate approach to proclaiming the Catholic faith. He travels across the US and around the world, speaking at conferences, workshops, retreats, and youth and young adult events.
He is sure to challenge and inspire those who hear him to reflect upon their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
He will provide faith-enriching tools, drawn from St John Paul II’s Theology of the Body exegesis, to counter the false ideologies of a hyper-sexualised world.
He will provide clear and insightful advice on how to incorporate virtue, chastity and heroism into our everyday lived experience.
His work has appeared in a variety of periodicals and he has hosted several radio and television programs in the US and internationally.
Deacon Harold is the CEO of Servant Enterprises, a not-for-profit organisation that develops services that support family life.
