|Pentecost Sunday 2011.|
Sunday 12 June was Pentecost Sunday, a very important day in the life of the Universal Church.
Our Lady of the Rosary Kellyville did not cut corners or come short in acknowledging this special day by bringing to the forefront the beauty and value of the many different nationalities within the parish.
That happened by exhibiting various national costumes, dances during the religious service, paying tribute by displaying different flags from the many countries and prayers in different languages.
All of this characterised the significance of the Holy Feast by various words and sentences but ultimately one language was spoken with absolute clarity, the language of the Gospel – Love!
Thank you to all who participated in all of the day’s events.
Thank you to all those parishioners who put themselves out by sharing the different foods from many different cultures.
The people that took part in the lunch that followed and the atmosphere that was prominent, was amazing!
Thank you, Fr Joe, for introducing this celebration into OLOR parish.May it become a tradition for many years to come.
