The Diocese of Parramatta is offering a 40 hour Pastoral Care Course to its people, endorsed by the Civil Chaplaincies Advisory Committee. This very experiential course, comprising of five evenings (and recommended reading in your own time) will provide life skills that are not only relevant to Chaplaincy but to all human interactions; places are limited.
Our course facilitator, Joy Bowen, has worked for over fifteen years in Hospital Chaplaincy; both as a Senior Manager of Hospital Chaplaincy in the Diocese of Broken Bay, ten years on the floor at Westmead Adults and currently at the Childrens Hospital as a Catholic Chaplain and Liaison Manager for Hospital Chaplaincy in our Diocese. She will ensure that you not only learn key skills but enjoy yourself in the process.
This course with its distinct Catholic flavor has been received with enthusiasm and praise in many Catholic parishes whilst offering a “taste test” for those who may feel drawn to the ministry of pastoral care.
