Security will be tight in Sydney with an increased police presence when more than 7000 Christians from all churches are expected to attend a rally in Martin Place this week to protest the escalating violence against the Coptic Church.

People from churches and Christian faiths across Sydney are being invited to attend the Peaceful Rally in Martin Place at noon on Wednesday 19 January, to protest the increasing danger Christians are facing worldwide and to mourn for those killed in the Alexandria attack as well as those injured by a policeman who shot and injured five Christians and killed another in a murderous attack on Christians on a Cairo train two days ago.
