Rallying round our students during the HSC

September is that month of the year when we start to see some of our Year 12 students go into hiding. They disappear from parish life, youth bands, youth groups, diocesan events and sometimes from their families as they bury their heads in their books.
The HSC and its final examinations begin on 13 October. As a faith community we are called to rally around them during this stressful time. Most of us have been there and experienced what they are about to go through.
A great sign of love has always been the way in which our parishes support and pray for our Year 12 community members in the lead up to and during the examination period.
This year instead of a Diocesan Youth Mass that potentially draws our Year 12 students away from their parish community, we are planning to connect as many of them as possible to a local dedicated HSC Youth Mass taking place nearest to them that coming weekend.
