Br Jerome Ellens FSP, superior general of the Patrician Brothers’ worldwide, has visited Delany College Granville as part of his tour of Patrician schools in Australia.

Br Jerome was invited to attend Delany’s first assembly for Term 3 which celebrated student achievement. The assembly was also attended by State Member for Granville, Tony Issa MP.

Addressing students at the whole school assembly, Br Jerome said he has closely followed the social justice initiatives of Delany College.

"I am here to congratulate you for being a caring and loving school community, for sharing your generosity and gifts with the less fortunate through your many social justice programs," Br Jerome said.

"You are certainly going out with open hands and open hearts and living to the core, your school motto: love, serve, hope."

Tony Issa also addressed the students, encouraging them to make the most of their education.

"Education is the most important element in your life; it is the master key which will open every door for your future," he said.

"I encourage you to continue to work hard to participate and achieve your goals."
