The Catholic Diocese of Parramatta will hold a World Youth Day (WYD) celebration at St Patrick's Cathedral Parramatta on Sunday 21 August, including a big screen live stream of the Final Mass in Madrid.

All young people throughout the Diocese are invited to join in the celebrations at St Patrick's Cathedral at 1 Marist Place Parramatta, commencing with a concert at 3.30pm.

Festivities will also include a youth group expo and barbecue ahead of the 5pm screening of Xt3.com's live web stream of the Final Mass with Pope Benedict XVI in Madrid.

Pope Benedict XVI will concelebrate the Mass with thousands of bishops and priests, challenging all of us to go out into the world witness the faith, as the Lord did with his Apostles.

At the end of the Mass, the Holy Father will announce where the next World Youth Day will be held.
