Australian Catholics is inviting Parishes and Schools to join in a special pilgrimage of prayer during the Holy Relic of St Francis Xavier’s visit to Australia.

The Holy Relic - the baptising right arm of St Francis Xavier - is journeying throughout Australia from 16 September to 3 December, as part of the National Pilgrimage of Grace.

The nine stages of the Australian Catholics’ pilgrimage of prayer form a novena, with each stage focusing on a period in Francis’ life.

The novena need not be made over nine consecutive days: rather, it can be made in your own time as you follow in the footsteps of this inspirational saint.
