The new year was a time of great celebration for the Missionary Sisters of Mary Queen in Granville.
On 6 January, they received the news from Most Rev Anthony Fisher OP that the congregation’s Australia Region was an Institute of the Diocesan Right under the special care of the Bishop of Parramatta, bearing the name Missionary Sisters of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of the World-Australia.
The Decree to erect the Institute was given on 8 December 2013 by the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life.
On 5 January, the Sisters joyfully celebrated two young Sisters who made their Religious Profession at Holy Trinity Church, East Granville. Sr Maria Vu Tran Thuy Linh made her First Profession and Sr Maria Doan Thanh Thao Renewed her Vows for three years.
