New website for Parish Pastoral Councils

02/03/2011

The Australian Catholic Bishops have launched a new website for Parish Pastoral Councils, offering assistance with formation, resources, meeting processes and prayers.

In a video presenation featured on the new Parish Pastoral Councils in Australia website, the Bishop of Wagga Wagga, Bishop Gerard Hanna, explains how the site aims to provide clear information and advice in a straightforward way about the roles, functions and responsibilities of Parish Pastoral Councils (PPCs) and their members, including suggestions for setting up PPCs and for their operations, and answers to frequently asked questions.

"It also explains some of the theology behind the concept of PPCs and their relationship to the Parish Priest," Bishop Hanna said.

"If you are thinking of setting up a new PPC or reviewing or reforming an existing Council, or you just want to help your PPC work better for the good of your Parish, I am confident that this new website will help you."
