Marian Pilgrimage of renewal and worship

Marian May Pilgrimage News Story

The annual Marian May Pilgrimage will be held at Mount Schoenstatt on Sunday 22 May, with a day of reflection, renewal and worship of Our Mother Mary.

All are welcome to attend this very special event for the Schoenstatt Movement, especially for those involved in one of the apostolic outreaches of Schoenstatt, known as the 'Pilgrim Mother Apostolate'.

Schoenstatt’s spirituality is based on a covenant of love with Mary, and all who enter into this covenant believe that Mary, as their mother and educator, will help them to live their baptismal covenant to the full.

This covenant of love is connected to the Schoenstatt Shrine, which is a recognised place of grace and pilgrimage where the Mother of God offers all who pray there a spiritual home in the heart of God.

The Annual Marian May Pilgrimage will include an open air Mass with the Bishop of Parramatta, Most Rev Anthony Fisher OP, at 10.30am.

Full program

10am - Welcome and setting the scene. Confession available in various languages (Family Hall) before Holy Mass

10.30am - Pontifical High Mass with Bishop Anthony and re-commissioning of the Pilgrim Mother Coordinators

Lunch - Hot food, tea and coffee available or BYO

2pm - Eucharistic Procession & Benediction at four altars from the valley to the Shrine (alternative program for the sick and elderly).

This is an outdoor event. Please BYO chairs and rugs.
