Light of the World poised for global release

From Rome Reports, 23 November

The highly-anticipated Light of the World: The Pope, the Church and the Signs of the Times is poised for worldwide release.

In the book, Pope Benedict XVI discusses the clerical sex abuse scandal, relations with Islam, the conclave, the notion of a papal resignation and the 'threatening catastrophe' facing humanity.

Author Peter Seewald's book is based on a rare interview with the Holy Father, conducted in six one-hour sessions last summer.

"He's a Pope that welcomes you, that stops for every question," Peter said.

"He's a man of dialogue, who has no problems facing critical questions. Actually, this pope is not a person that is afraid of questions."
