Greystanes WYD pilgrims share with spirit

Three World Youth Day (WYD) pilgrims from St Paul’s Catholic College in Greystanes have shared the WYD spirit with the students of Our Lady Queen of Peace Primary in Greystanes during a visit to the school on Monday 2 May.

The primary school children will be following the journey of the pilgrims as they make their way to Madrid Spain for WYD 2011 (15-21 August), and have already been studying maps showing the pilgrims' path across Europe.

The school hopes to remain in contact with the pilgrims through email and Skype while they undertake their journey.

The Diocesan Youth Cross, which will travel to WYD with the pilgrims, spent the week in the primary school's playground, where it was used as a prayer focus for school assemblies and class prayer, as well as helping to keep the students connected with the wider Church community.
