Faith and learning: Catholic Schools Week

Catholic Schools Week News Story
Catholic schools across the Parramatta Diocese are celebrating the fifth annual Catholic Schools Week (CSW) from 1 to 7 May with a range of enriching learning activities such as a Readers Theatre, a visit to Parliament House, connecting with other schools online, a storyfest and a numeracy workshop.

CSW is being celebrated across Catholic schools in NSW and the ACT with the theme ‘A Learning Adventure, a Journey of Faith’.

This year’s theme focuses on the key objective of Catholic schools to provide quality learning experiences for all students that allow them to thrive and grow in life and in faith.

Executive Director of Schools, Greg Whitby, said Catholic Schools Week provides an opportunity to showcase the great learning and teaching that takes place on a daily basis in Catholic schools.

"Many of our schools will be holding open classroom visits where parents, future students and the wider community are able to see first-hand the learning and teaching that happens each day in our schools," Greg said.
