Energy and goodwill at Richmond and Windsor

05/06/2012

The 'Faith in Our Future' Blog reports that more than 50 Parishioners from St Monica’s Richmond and St Matthew’s Windsor attended a Catholic Diocese of Parramatta pastoral planning consultation on Monday 28 May.

The importance of Family came through strongly at the consultation: the need to socialise more after Mass; the need for the priest to welcome newcomers at every Mass and direct them to appropriate information and sign-up sheets; the need to develop a Welcome Package for Parishes.

There was a real sense of care and concern and the need to outreach especially to those ‘on the edge Catholics’.

Episcopal Vicar for Evangelisation and Pastoral Planning, Very Rev Paul Marshall EV, said he was enthused by the energy and goodwill of the Richmond-Windsor people who entered into the consultation.

“May the Spirit of Pentecost and the foundation stones of this consultation lead us on with hope and mission to an enlivened ‘Faith in our Future’,” Fr Paul said.
