Celebrating the Early Years of Marriage 2013

Couples from throughout the Diocese attended the CatholicCare Social Services - Diocese of Parramatta (CCSS) 2013 Celebrating the Early Years of Marriage on Sunday 28 April.
The event was organised by CCSS's Marriage and Family Relationship Education, to promote and highlight the importance and value of marriage and to give parishioners of the Catholic Diocese of Parramatta an opportunity to show their support for marriage.
Maintaining a strong couple relationship
Supporting couples in their marriage is very important, as research shows the benefit and importance of a strong and committed couple relationship as a secure cradle for raising children.
CCSS felt there was an opportunity to show support for those couples embarking on marriage and to validate the struggle and sometimes more difficult tasks of raising a family as well as maintaining a strong couple relationship in the early years of marriage.
Families were able to enjoy a beautiful day in the wonderful surrounds of the Mercy Congregation Centre. Catholic Diocese of Parramatta Vicar General, Very Rev Christopher de Souza VG EV, celebrated Mass for the Early Years of Marriage and welcomed guests with a blessing before lunch, before meeting with the families and couples who attended the event.
CCSS would welcome any feedback or suggestions about this event or other event ideas in support of families and marriage.
