The Homily given by the Bishop of Parramatta, Most Rev Anthony Fisher OP, at the Mass for the Convention of the National Council of Priests (NCP) has been recorded for Catholic Radio Online.
The NCP 2010 Convention was held in Parramatta from 12 to 16 July, with the closing Mass held in St Patrick's Cathedral on 15 July.
More than 250 Catholic clergy attended the convention, reflecting on the changing face of contemporary ministerial priesthood and the risen Christ’s presence in the midst of this change.
In his closing Mass Homily, Bishop Anthony said that priestly life and holiness is not a matter of choosing sides.
"Ours must be a commitment to the whole of reality, to every human person, to the beautiful if challenging worlds to which they belong, and to the God who is our author and sustainer," Bishop Anthony said.
