The Bishop of Parramatta, Most Rev Anthony Fisher OP, blessed the newly constructed multi-purpose hall at Bethany Catholic Primary in Glenmore Park on Friday 17 August during a special ceremony for the school and parish community.
Funded under the Australian Government’s Building the Education Revolution program, the school received $2.945 million for its new hall.
Padre Pio Glenmore Park Parish priest, Fr Robert Riedling, welcomed the school and parish community including staff from Catholic Education and principals from neighbouring Catholic schools.
Bishop Anthony told the students: "Your time at school is laying the foundations for all aspects of life and for your development as a human person loved by God.
"Catholic schooling offers a unique opportunity for you to meet Jesus and develop a relationship with Him, providing the building blocks for your growth as member of the Catholic community," Bishop Anthony said.
