Emmaus College students pass Sydney Opera House on their 'Amazing Race'.
Year 11 students from Emmaus Catholic College in Kemps Creek recently participated in their very own 'Amazing Race' during through the maze-like Central Business Distict of Sydney.

Students were given the initial challenge of having to organise public transport to the city and then given 'clues' to arrive at new and different places and buildings at designated times while working in groups.

Organised as part of a Community and Family Studies assessment, the race provided an opportunity for students to enhance their interpersonal and management skills in a ‘real life’ scenario.

Students explored the city on foot while taking notes and answering questions related to their assessment including visits to iconic sites such as the Sydney Opera House, the Art Gallery of NSW, Queen Victoria Building, Circular Quay and Darling Harbour.
