Carols in the Caves News Story

Jenolan Caves will present the 20th annual Carols in the Caves - Jenolan’s biggest annual event - on Saturday 10 December.

Two spectacular concerts and a charity auction in the massive ‘twilight’ cave - the Grand Arch - will feature the nativity story and well-loved Christmas carols.

Each year concertgoers bring folding chairs and warm jackets to the colossal Grand Arch and immerse themselves in the magic of Christmas. They join in traditional Christmas carols with a range of gifted singers, who perform on stage and who also scale to great heights to sing on rocky ledges, among the stalagmites and stalactites, while local children enact the Christmas story.

This dramatic setting provides an unforgettable experience for all ages, and supports a worthy cause - research into childhood cancer at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

Carols in the Caves always features a celebrity compere. This year, the celebrity compere is Peter Vickery, popular finalist on the recent TV series, Masterchef.

Talented local performers include Domino Houlbrook-Cove, Geoff Molesworth, Fiona Hutton Christine Porter, David Tucker,Annelise Van den Elzen, Alan George, Celeste Stevens and Kurt Booth. Santa Claus and Bandaged Bear will also be there.

Concertgoers can book online via Ticketmaster or by calling Jenolan Caves direct on 1300 76 33 11.
