‘Pathways of St Paul’ pilgrimage: Gallipoli
The ‘Pathways of St Paul’ pilgrimage being led by the Bishop of Parramatta Most Rev Anthony Fisher OP has visited ANZAC Cove at Gallipoli.
Bishop Anthony is leading the pilgrimage of 22 Catholic Education Office staff and Principals through Greece and Turkey from 28 September to 15 October.
“The blood of young Australians, Turks and others poured out into these barren beaches and cliffs at ANZAC Cove,” Bishop Anthony wrote on his Facebook page.
“Young men, many of them no older than the young people in the schools of which my fellow pilgrims are principals.
“We prayed at Gallipoli for war no more, war never again. Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord,...”
