Music and Readings for Christmas

18/12/2011

St Finbar’s Parish Church, 46 Levy Street Glenbrook

The concert is produced by Sydney Town Hall Organist Robert Ampt who, with his wife Amy Johansen, will play the heritage listed Hele Pipe Organ in the beautiful stone church of St Finbar’s Parish at Glenbrook.

Four choirs will be leading the carol singing: Warrimoo Chorale, Penrith City Choir and two German choirs.

The true story of Christmas is told by readers in the Parish and beautiful solos are sung by talented singers, including young boy soprano Matthew Phillips.

In the finale, the mountains will echo and rejoice as the assembly stands to sing the jubilant Hallelujah chorus by Handel, assisted triumphantly by Penrith City Brass with timpani and trumpets.

It’s a night not to be missed.
