Interfaith Dialogue Nostra Aetate (In Our Day)

03/06/2014

Catholic Institute of Sydney, 99 Albert Rd, Strathfield

This two-hour seminar with Archbishop Michael Fitzgerald will examine the implications today for interfaith dialogue in light of the ground-breaking Vatican II document Nostra Aetate (In Our Day).

This brief document outlined the Church’s relation to non-Christian religions. What did it mean? What have been the developments since then? What are the challenges ‘in our day’?

Archbishop Fitzgerald is a former president of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue and most recently served as Apostolic Nuncio in Egypt and Delegate to the League of Arab States.

The seminar will include a keynote address, time for responding and an opportunity for questions and answers.
