Sharing our time, our talent and our treasure
How often do we stop to count our blessings?
All of us have at least one special talent. We may be caring, smart or musically inclined, blessed with a trade, or skill. How often do we put these talents to the best possible use to help others?
All of us have been given the gift of time. How much of it do we spend in prayer, or doing good works or perhaps volunteering?
Our talents and our time bring us ‘treasure’ in the form of income. How much of it do we share with our Parish, a charity or other good causes?
In the Diocese of Parramatta, Catholic Fundraising helps Parishes to bring out the best aspects of ‘Our Talent, Our Time and Our Treasure’. Specialising in renewal programs for planned giving in Parishes, Catholic Fundraising operates throughout NSW in all Dioceses that are in need of improving their weekly envelope income.
Over many years, Catholic Fundraising has developed programs tailored to suit both large and small Parishes. Typically, Parishes using Catholic Fundraising receive increases in their weekly envelopes of 60 per cent in the first year, 50 per cent in the second year, and 40 per cent in year three – or an average of 50 per cent over a three-year period.
With these gratefully received funds, Parishes are able to enhance Parish life for all members of their local church community. Of course, this simply would not be possible without the generous support of those parishioners who give of their time, their talent and their treasure during renewal programs.
Parishes who would like more information on or assistance with setting up a renewal program are invited to contact the Catholic Fundraising Director.
