Diocese of Parramatta Facebook Comment Policy

The purpose of this Facebook page is to provide an interactive forum where readers can gather and discuss information about the wide range of issues addressed by the work and mission of the Bishop and Diocese of Parramatta (The Diocese).

The overarching ideal is that all comments should be marked by Christian Charity and respect. Followers are encouraged to post comments and questions, but should remember this is a moderated online discussion hosted by the Diocese.

Comments left by others on this page do not reflect the views of the Bishop of Parramatta or the Diocese.

The Diocese appreciates healthy, constructive debate and discussion; that means we ask that comments be kept civil in tone and reflect the charity and respect that marks Christian discourse.

Comments that may be deleted include those that contain:

•Vulgar language

•Personal attacks/inflammatory remarks against a person or group

•Content/comments off topic

•Links to sites that contain offensive material or attack the bishops and their mission

•Promotion of services, groups, products, political organisations/agendas. This includes in-comment promotions that may be deemed as a promotion of that service, group, product, political organisation/agenda.

•Information that is factually incorrect

The diocese reserves the right to remove posts and posters who violate this policy.

This policy is as at 3/12/2012 and the Diocese reserves the right to remove posts restrospectively or update this policy at any time.
