Invitation from Blessed Sacrament Fathers
The Blessed Sacrament Congregation was founded by St Peter Julian Eymard in Paris in 1856.
Our holy founder was canonised by John XXIII at the end of the first session of the Second Vatican Council and his feast on the 2nd August as the apostle of the Eucharist is celebrated in the universal Church.
The aim of the Congregation is as follows:
To make the Eucharistic celebration the centre of one’s life;
To make Eucharistic adoration daily;
To live a fraternal life in community as witness of the life that springs from the Eucharist; and
To live a life of service expressed in different activities which find in the Eucharist their inspiration and which proclaim its significance.
The Congregation has two houses in Australia:
St Francis’ Church, 326 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne;
Church of St Peter Julian, 641 George Street, Sydney.
If you have a deep attraction to the Eucharist and would like to live a celibate life in community and respond positively to first number of our Rule of Life, namely, “Our ideal is to live the mystery of the Eucharist fully and to make known its meaning so that Christ’s reign may come and the glory of God be revealed to the world” you are invited to contact:
