HIV/AIDS Ministry

Purpose
This ministry offers pastoral care, loss and bereavement support and counseling. It provides emotional and spiritual support for people living with HIV/AIDS, their family and friends. Practical and confidential advice is provided by home visits, hospital access or personal encounter. HIV/AIDS education is a priority of this ministry, especially to high schools, parishes and interest groups of the diocese.

Purpose

Natural Family Planning Services (Centacare Sydney) - Parramatta

Purpose
Natural Family Planning Services has 7 centres in this diocese, all belonging to the Australian Council of Natural Family Planning, which promotes the proper teaching of natural methods of family planning to those seeking security in fertility regulation in their marriage. Clients wishing to achieve or avoid pregnancy are taught by personal instruction. Our service provides Outreach Education in sexuality, fertility, family planning and decision-making to groups attending pre-marriage education, school groups and other community groups.
